How FaultBet Finds Lay Value on Tennis Markets

01

We Build Pressure Profiles on Every Player

Using 8.9 million data points from ATP and WTA matches we calculate a unique pressure profile for every professional tennis player. This includes their choke index — how often they fail to serve out a set when ahead — their closing rate versus the statistical baseline, and their serve hold percentage under break point pressure. These are the metrics that exchange prices simply do not account for.

02

AI Detects When the Market Overprices a Player

Our LightGBM model compares a player's live exchange price against their model probability — derived from 61 predictive features including surface-adjusted WElo ratings, H2H performance in close matches, and real-time momentum indicators. When a player trading at 1.22 has a historical closing rate suggesting they should be priced at 1.45, a lay signal fires.

03

You Receive the Signal and Act

Signals are delivered via Telegram by 9am for pre-match opportunities and in real-time for inplay lay signals. Trader and Pro tier subscribers receive push alerts via the web app. Pro subscribers can connect their exchange account for fully automated bet placement with configurable stake sizing and daily loss limits.

Frequently Asked Questions

A lay bet means betting on a player to LOSE rather than win. On a betting exchange you can act as the bookmaker, offering odds to other users. If the player loses, you keep the stake. If they win, you pay out at the lay odds. Lay betting is the core strategy behind FaultBet — we identify overpriced favourites and short-priced players who historically underperform under pressure.
The choke index is FaultBet's proprietary pressure metric. It measures how often a player fails to hold serve when leading by a break with only a few games remaining in a set — for example, serving at 5-3 or 5-4. The ATP tour average is around 18%. Players consistently above 28-30% are prime lay targets when the market prices them as strong favourites.
Bet Angel and TradeShark provide tools and general strategies for manual tennis trading. FaultBet is different — we use machine learning trained on 1.6 million historical matches to identify specific player mispricing situations that human traders consistently miss. We don't teach you to trade. We tell you when the market is wrong.
Our signals are designed for betting exchanges. We currently support Betfair Exchange, Smarkets and Betdaq. You will need a verified account on at least one exchange to act on signals. All three are free to open. The Pro auto-bet tier currently supports Betfair Exchange with Smarkets integration coming soon.
We are currently in final backtesting and will publish verified historical performance data before launch. We do not make forward-looking profit guarantees. Our model targets a minimum 3-4% ROI on a flat-stake strategy — but past model performance does not guarantee future returns. Please bet responsibly.
We are targeting a launch in Q2 2026. Waitlist members receive early access before public launch and have their pricing locked in permanently. Register above to secure your place.
